Why Go Camping in State?

North Dakota is known for it’s rugged, natural beauty. Exploring the wilderness and experiencing some of the state’s most beautiful landmarks can open up your mind and bring your family closer together

Warm nights out around a fire with family and friends can create some of the best memories and experiences. Daytime hikes around the area, fishing, and hunting around the area, followed by pitching up a tent or relaxing in front of the RV can make the perfect vacation for anyone. It’s a chance to get away from the day-to-day and embrace the outdoors.

Theodore “Teddy” Roosevelt once said, “I never would have been President if it had not been for my experiences in North Dakota.”

Roosevelt’s love of the virtuous character and rugged terrain of the state shaped his commitment to preserving the wild places of the United States. Indeed, North Dakota is home to a site named in his honor: Theodore Roosevelt National Park. And, while the state has just one national park, North Dakota state parks span the land from top to bottom.
